MAMO Australia · Web Development
An editorial, gallery-style catalogue for MAMO's natural stone, sintered stone and terrazzo slabs — built for architects and Tier 1 builders to browse materials by application, save favourites and explore featured projects.
01 — The challenge
MAMO supplies premium natural stone, sintered stone and terrazzo to architects and Tier 1 builders for commercial and multi-residential projects. They needed a site that treated raw slabs as art — letting specifiers explore materials by application and shortlist selections without friction.
Natural stone, sintered stone and terrazzo look nothing like themselves in a standard product grid. MAMO needed slabs presented with the same restraint as a gallery, not a hardware catalogue.
Architects and Tier 1 builders think in applications — benchtop, splashback, cladding, flooring — not material names. Without that lens, specifying the right stone took too many back-and-forth calls.
Specifiers had no frictionless way to save and compare material options across a project, forcing them to track selections manually in emails and spreadsheets.
02 — Our approach
We designed and built a fast, editorial Next.js catalogue with a cinematic 'Stone Art' hero, material worlds (Natural Stone, Sintered Stone, Terrazzo), an application-led browser (benchtops, splashbacks, cladding, flooring, feature walls and more), a Favourites shortlist for specifiers, and a featured-projects showcase — all tuned for an architect and builder audience and served fast from Vercel.
A cinematic, video-led hero that frames raw slabs as art and sets a premium tone.
Natural Stone, Sintered Stone and Terrazzo, each presented as its own editorial world.
Specifiers explore by use — benchtop, splashback, cladding, flooring, feature wall and more.
A frictionless way for architects and builders to shortlist materials for a project.

05 — The impact
MAMO now presents its 3 material families with the restraint of a gallery. Application-led browsing and a favourites shortlist make it easy for architects and builders to specify materials, while featured projects build trust at the top of the funnel.
