Mr5 Restaurant Group · Web Development
Modern digital menu web application with React and TypeScript, enabling QR-code accessible menus for restaurant customers.
01 — The challenge
Mr5 Restaurant Group wanted to modernize their customer experience with contactless digital menus that could be easily updated, support multiple languages, and provide an elegant browsing experience on any device.
Every price change, seasonal dish, or sold-out item meant reprinting hundreds of menus. The delays and recurring costs were a constant operational drain for the restaurant group.
Post-pandemic customers expected contactless dining experiences. Physical menus passing between tables created hygiene concerns and friction — a poor first impression for a modern restaurant brand.
Serving a diverse clientele with varying language preferences, the restaurant had no way to offer a multilingual menu experience — limiting accessibility and the quality of service for non-Arabic and non-English speakers.
02 — Our approach
We built a responsive digital menu web application using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS with shadcn/ui components. Customers scan a QR code to access the menu on their phones, with smooth navigation, category filtering, and an elegant design that matches the restaurant's brand.
A single scan opens the full menu on any phone — no app download, no physical handoff between tables.
Price changes, seasonal dishes, and sold-out items publish immediately from a simple content structure, ending the reprint cycle entirely.
shadcn/ui components organize dozens of dishes into clear categories so diners find what they want in seconds.
Every screen was designed for one-hand phone use at a restaurant table, with typography and spacing matching Mr5's brand.
